UNOHP USE POLICY

The University of Nevada Oral History Program (UNOHP) maintains the following policy for use of its material:

Under "fair use" standards, excerpts of up to two hundred words may be used without the UNOHP's permission as long as the materials are properly cited. The citation should include the title of the work, the name of the chronicler (when possible), the date of publication or production, and the fact that the work was published or produced by the University of Nevada Oral History Program (and collaborating institutions when applicable). Quotations of between two hundred words and six hundred words (two pages) require the written permission of the UNOHP and a proper citation. Any excerpting that is more extensive than six hundred words necessitates the written permission of the UNOHP, that of the chronicler, appropriate citation, and a per-page fee. (Under certain circumstances, not-for-profit users may be granted a waiver of the page fee.) In all instances, the UNOHP requests a copy of the publication for our reference collection. In cases where the publication is a review or article, a photocopy of same is acceptable.
